Founded in 1956, the Capital University of Economics and Business (CUEB) today is a leading university administered by Beijing Municipality. CUEB took its current form in 1995 when the Beijing College of Economics and the Beijing Institute of Finance & Trade merged into one. Over the past 68 years, CUEB has always upheld its motto to “advocate morality, value competence, strategize national development, and serve the people”, following the path of quality development with CUEB characteristics and specialties. Therefore, CUEB has grown into a Beijing Municipal high-level research university with program advantages in the subject areas of economics, management, law, literature, and science and engineering, of which economics and management are the core disciplines. The main campus of CUEB, covering an area of 293,245 square meters, is in Huaxiang, Fengtai District, and concentrates on full-time undergraduate and graduate education, while the Hongmiao Campus in Chaoyang District, covering an area of 58,378 square meters, focuses on international and integrated vocational education. CUEB boasts 48 undergraduate programs, including 7 major admissions by general categories. Among them, 25 programs have been approved as first-class undergraduate disciplines at national level, 14 programs as first-class undergraduate disciplines at Municipal level in Beijing, and 4 disciplines, including accounting, finance, economics, and business administration, are recognized as key first-class disciplines at Municipal level in Beijing. Programs in economics, labor and social security, statistics and human resources management have been distinguished as “featured majors” at the national level. Of these, economics, statistics and labor and social security are designated as pilot programs for national comprehensive program reform. Numbers of courses and textbooks are ranked first-class at national and municipal levels: programs for Political Economics, Labor Economics and Social Security are recognized as excellent national curricula, with Political Economics and Social Security classified as excellent national open courses, Financial Accounting, International Economics, and International Business as national bilingual model courses. Into the World of Management is recognized as a national excellent video open course; Entrepreneurial Team Building and Management is certified as national-level massive online open course; Public Finance, Finance, Financial Management, Services Marketing, Bank Management of Financial Services, Education of Morality and Fundamentals of Law, Auditing, Microeconomics and Commercial Law are awarded as national-level first-class undergraduate courses; and Customer Relationship Management is granted national-level high-quality textbook award. A total of 21 courses are accredited as high-quality undergraduate courses among universities in Beijing, and 20 textbooks are accredited as high-quality undergraduate textbooks among universities in Beijing. CUEB boasts 4 first-class disciplines that confer doctoral degrees and corresponding post-doctoral research programs, 11 first-class disciplines that confer master degrees, 18 programs that confer profession-oriented master degrees. The first-class disciplines of Applied Economics, Business Management, and Statistics are accredited as high-caliber disciplines in Beijing; Applied Economics and Business Management are supported by project of first-class discipline established by Beijing and central universities. Labor Economics, a second-class discipline of Applied Economics, is accredited as a national key discipline of the Exceptional Key Disciplines Project administered by the Ministry of Education. Applied Economics and Statistics are both key first-class disciplines in Beijing. Business Management and Accounting programs have been certified as key second-class disciplines in Beijing; Management Science & Engineering are key first-class development programs in Beijing; 7 programs including the Political Economy Department are certified as key second-class development disciplines in Beijing. Five disciplines are administered by the Ministry of Education as interdisciplinary disciplines, including Labor Relations, Economics Law, Media Management and Administration, Urban Economics and Strategic Management, and Big Data and Business Intelligence. The Economics & Management Experimental Teaching Center is rated as a national university experimental teaching center. The International Economics Professionals Education Experiment Zone is ranked as a national model innovation experiment zone for professional education. In School of Accounting, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited is approved as a national field project base for university students. CUEB is distinguished as a National Education Base for Ecological Civilization, and a member of the first batch of Innovation Practice Base for International Organization Professional Training. The “Reform and Practical Research on Upgrading the Economics Major in the Context of New Liberal Arts” is approved by the Ministry of Education as the first batch of new liberal arts reform and practice projects. Virtual Teaching and Research Office of Marketing is approved by the Ministry of Education as the first batch of pilot projects in virtual teaching and research office. Today, CUEB has 16,784 registered students, including 11,522 undergraduates, 4,482 graduates, 646 doctoral candidates, 91 international students and 43 continuing education students. Many indicators, including university admission scores, employment rate and starting annual salary of graduates, relevance to majors, employer satisfaction and career development are above the average level of universities in Beijing. CUEB has nurtured nearly 200,000 outstanding young personnel for Beijing and the country. Numerous alumni have made outstanding achievements in government, education, academia, finance, taxation, accounting, and other industries, as well as major enterprises and institutions. Teams from College of Business Administration and School of Statistics are accredited as high-level innovative education team during the 14th Five Year Plan period at Beijing Municipal level. In 2006, the university initiated a teacher career development program and established the CUEB Office of Teacher Advancement (OTA), one of few programs in this category in China. CUEB’s OTA is a teacher-governed organization dedicated to teacher career planning and advancement. In recent years, as CUEB has undertaken a greater number of national projects, the remarkable research achievements have kept emerging, and its capability to serve the national and capital development is growing. CUEB has strong cooperative ties with 180 universities and research institutes in 38 countries and regions. Central South University is a key university under the “Project 985,” one of the first batch of universities under the “Project 211,” and a leading institution in the first batch of the “2011 Plan.” In 2017, the university was selected as a World-Class University (Category A), and in 2022, it was included in the list of the second round of “Double First-Class” construction universities. The Business School is one of the 32 schools at Central South University. The School is originated from the Management Engineering Department of the Central South College of Mining and Metallurgy established in 1982. Driven by the mission of by integrating scientific essence and creating new business knowledge, the School are devoted to cultivating business elites with great virtue and innovative spirit. The School is focusing on the challenges of the new era, to do "significant research" and provide "future oriented business education" to serve local and national strategies. In 2020, under the leadership of Academician Chen Xiaohong, the academic leader of the School, the Basic Science Center Project “Theory and Application of Resource and Environment Management in the Digital Economy Era” funded by Natural Science Foundation of China was launched at the University, becoming the first national basic science center project in central China. The School has 6 provincial research centers and 18 discipline oriented research center teams. In the past five years, the School carries out scientific research in response to the major national key needs, and it has undertaken a total of 87 national-level research projects, including 61 National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC) projects (with 9 major/key projects), 15 National Social Science Foundation (NSSF) projects (with 4 major/key projects), as well as multiple projects under the Ministry of Science and Technology’s National Key Research and Development Plan. The total research funding brought into the university has reached $20,663,156, and the School has received 20 major national and provincial-level awards, contributing the wisdom of the Business School to economic and social development. With an enrollment of more than 4000 students, the School catches up with the needs of the times and aims at the frontiers of practice, has created a compound business talent training model featuring "Humanities and Science Integration, Interdisciplinary Collaboration, Digital Intelligence Cultivation, Multi-practical Paths”. Copenhagen Business School has the status of an independent university and has more than 20,000 students and app. 450 full-time professors (assistant/associate/full). CBS is thus one of the largest business schools in Northern Europe, covering a wide range of business-related academic fields. The Department of Strategy and Innovation (SI) is one of 11 departments within CBS. The department has about 50 faculty members, currently including 20 professors, 20 associate professors, 10 assistant professors, in addition to 8 postdocs and 15 PhD students. Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is a national key university directly administrated by the Ministry of Education of China and sponsored by Project 211 and Project 985. In September 2017, after approval by the State Council, DUT was selected into the university of the “Double First-Class” Initiative, category A. It has formed a multi-disciplinary system that focuses on science and engineering and coordinates the disciplines of economics, management, humanities, law, philosophy, and arts. Internationalization is one of the important strategic goals of DUT. Core research areas of the Department of Business Humanities and Law at Copenhagen Business School are organized into different research Units: Entrepreneurship, Ethics and Leadership; Governance, Culture and Learning; and CBS Law. Faculty within these groups have research backgrounds in all areas of law, political science, sociology, philosophy, history, anthropology, literature, theology, aesthetics, design and innovation, tourism and leisure management, cultural economics, leadership and strategy, pedagogic study, and other areas. What unites faculty is an overriding concern for the organization of the human within its multiple environments: work, nature, economy, civil association, the state, and corporation. Donghua University (DHU) is a university directly under the Ministry of Education (MOE), a national "211 Project" and a national "Double First Class" university. Its history can be traced back to the Textile Dyeing Institute founded by industrialist Zhang Jian in 1912, and was founded in 1951 as the East China Institute of Textile Engineering, which was recognized as a national key university by the Ministry of Education in 1960, and became one of the first universities in China with the right to confer doctoral, master's, and bachelor's degrees in 1981, and was renamed China Textile University in 1985, and was recognized as a key university under the national "211 Project" in 1998 and renamed China University of Textiles in 1999, and was renamed China University of Textiles in 1999. In 1998, it was recognized as one of the key institutions of higher education under the national "211 Project", and was renamed Donghua University in 1999, and was selected as one of the national "double first-class" construction universities in 2017. Adhering to the school motto of "Virtue and erudition, sharpness and practicality", the university has developed into a multidisciplinary and high-level university with distinctive features. As early as 1953, DHU had established the Teaching and Research Group on Business Organization and Planning in the Textile Industry, gathering China's first generation of experts in management including Professor Shiqiu Zhou, Doctor of Public Administration, Harvard University, Professor Qichun Zhang and Ying Tang, Doctor of former Soviet Union. In 1959 DHU set up the undergraduate program in industrial engineering and management and began to enroll postgraduates in 1979. In September 1983, it launched the first cohort of the master's degree program in industrial engineering and management. In December that year, it set up the Department of industrial Engineering and Management, which was expanded into School of Economics and Management in1993. One year later, the Glorious Sun School of Business and Management (GSSBM) came to birth after being sponsored by Glorious Sun Enterprise Limited (GSE) with HK$ 11 million. GSSBM has 101 faculties, among which 37 doctoral supervisors, 36 professors and 40 associate professors. There are 1785 undergraduates?1656 postgraduates and 128 PhD students.

The school has successively passed the international certifications of AMBA and AACSB. In October 2024, the school held the EQUIS on-site certification, and passed the AACSB re-certification in 2025, obtaining the highest certification period of six years.

As one of the earliest Chinese higher institutions to establish majors of economics and management, HIT business majors were originated from 1928. In 1955, Department of Engineering Economics was established, which was the first department of engineering economics among all Chinese engineering colleges. In 1984, with the approval of Ministry of Education, SoM was officially established as one of the first schools of management in China. SoM became the first AMBA-accredited school in Northeast China in 2012, and passed CAMEA (Chinese Advanced Management Education Accreditation) and AMBA re-accreditation in 2017. In 2021, SoM passed AACSB accreditation.
As a national key university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education of China, Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) is one of the oldest modern institutions of higher education in China. Formally established in June 2022, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou)(HKUST(GZ)) is a cooperatively-run higher education institution between the Chinese mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. HKUST(GZ) has obtained approval from the Ministry of Education (MoE) and become the first legally-independent educational institution co-established by the Mainland and Hong Kong since the announcement and implementation of the “Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” and the “Overall Plan for Deepening Globally Oriented Comprehensive Co-operation amongst Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in Nansha of Guangzhou”. HKUST(GZ) is located at No.1 Duxue Road, Qingsheng Hub Cluster, Nansha District, Guangzhou. The campus covers an area of about 1,669 mu (111.3 hectares) and is divided into two construction phases. The first phase covers an area of about 716 mu (47.7 hectares) with a floorage of about 636,000 square meters (63.6 hectares), which has been officially put into use in September 2022.
