The Robert W. Plaster School of Business at Missouri Southern State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Management at the Assistant Professor level beginning fall 2020. The Plaster School of Business (PSB) is accredited by ACBSP and is actively pursuing AACSB accreditation with 25+ full-time tenured/tenure track faculty serving approximately 1,100 students. The PSB offers two graduate programs: Master of Accountancy and Master of Science in Management. Undergraduate programs include Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, HR Management, Marketing, and International Business. In addition, certificates are available in Entrepreneurship and Management. The Small Business Development Center is also housed within the Plaster School of Business.
The candidate will possess an earned doctorate by no later than August 1, 2020 in Management or a related field from a regionally accredited institution (ABD candidates can be considered for a visiting position). The Plaster School is seeking qualified individuals to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, which may include some combination of the following courses: leadership, human resource management, entrepreneurship, quality management, strategic management, organizational behavior, data analytics, compensation and benefits, employee training and development. Instructional delivery may occur through traditional, on-line, and alternative instructional methods. The successful candidate will maintain excellence in teaching; engage in an active program of scholarship that results in quality, peer reviewed journal articles; participate in university and community service; and student advisement. Demonstrated ability to work with and/or knowledge of diverse populations is preferred. Related business experience as well as abilities in the area of business analytics are also desirable. Voluntary summer and winter contracts may be available.
