The Department of Management of ESSEC Business School (French campus) is recruiting for Chair of Research Excellence, effective September 1st, 2020.
The position (OPEN specialization) offers competitive salary, research funds and teaching load reduction.
Applicants must have a distinguished record of high quality research and evidence of impact on research or practice. Candidates should hold leadership positions in scholarly associations and hold editorial board positions in academic journals. The chairholder must commit to target European Research Council (ERC) type or similar grants during the duration of the chair. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience to build an ambitious international research program, including PhD/post-doc supervision, top-level publication and the generation of external research income.

The Management Department at ESSEC Business School consists of 30 full time faculty with expertise in entrepreneurship, human resources, organizational behavior, organizational theory, and strategy. Members of the Management department have published in all the leading journals and are highly involved in the excellent ESSEC PhD program. The chair position is one of several projects under the CY Initiative (including ESSEC, UCP) which seeks to develop the region as a major site of higher education and research within France. The field of management broadly understood (comprising the fields of organization theory, strategy and organizational behavior) is a strong theme in the CY Initiative; therefore, recruitment at the international level to reinforce research in these fields is a priority.
