Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at the AACSB accredited Williams College of Business. Xavier University’s Entrepreneurship program is ranked the 11th best undergraduate program in the United States (U.S. News and World Report - 2019).
The position, beginning in August 2020, entails teaching at the undergraduate and MBA levels in the field of Entrepreneurship, with preference given to those who have a secondary field of Strategic Management or Organizational Behavior (other areas, commensurate with our department domains, will be considered). With close ties to Cincinnati’s business community, our Department provides education, training, and real-life business experiences to undergraduate, MBA, and Executive MBA students in face-to-face and online formats. Experiential-based teaching is valued as class sizes are typically less than 30 students.
As a balanced Jesuit/Catholic university, Xavier faculty are expected to be active scholars and excellent teachers. Therefore, we are seeking candidates with demonstrated accomplishments and/or strong potential in both scholarship and teaching. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship, Management, or a closely related field, or have the firm expectation of completing their Ph.D. prior to starting at Xavier. The ideal candidate also will have practical business experience. Teaching is a 3/3 load. Salary will be competitive.
