The Department of Management and Marketing in the College of Business at the University of Wyoming invites applications for a tenure-track position, at the assistant or associate rank, beginning Fall 2020. We have a preference for scholars active in the area of human resource management but will consider strong applicants from other areas of Management and related disciplines. The person who fills this position will be expected to contribute to the strong teaching reputation of the department’s faculty. Further, he/she will be expected to conduct high-quality peer-reviewed research that is published in leading journals, in addition to other high-quality scholarly work, and, thus, contribute to the growing research culture of the department. Optimally, he/she will be expected to advise students in the department’s major and support related student activities, in addition to other institutional and professional service responsibilities. As such, the ideal candidate is a well-rounded academic who has an interest in helping the college build a strong regional reputation.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in human resource management, organizational behavior, entrepreneurship, strategic management or a closely related discipline and a record quality citizenship at prior institutions. Candidates who are ABD must have completed their dissertation on or before August 26, 2020. We prefer candidates with a demonstrated record of research publication in high-quality journals such as those listed on the Financial Times 50 list, UT Dallas journal list, and the Association of Business School’s journal list, and who can demonstrate evidence of on-going high-quality research publication potential. We also prefer candidates with an excellent teaching record and a strong service record showing evidence of the ability to advise student organizations and effectively contribute to college strategic initiatives.
