Management and Marketing: Assistant/Associate Professor in Healthcare Administration (Long-term Healthcare Focus)
Probationary tenure track faculty position in Healthcare Administration (Long-term care) beginning August 24, 2020.
Applicants will be expected to teach courses as assigned in the Health Care Administration (long-term care) area, participate in research and scholarly activities, engage in student recruitment and high-impact practices with health care administration students, serve as a faculty mentor to students, engage in service to the university, community, and senior care profession, and participate in department, college, and university committee work. Teaching responsibilities may involve a combination of on-campus and online instruction.
Doctorate or ABD in Healthcare Administration, Gerontology, or related field from a regionally accredited higher education institution is required. ABD applicants must complete the terminal degree by June 30, 2021.
Evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and scholarly activity is required.
Management experience in a long-term senior care setting, as well as ability to teach courses in health care reimbursement and financial management, health care policy, leadership, quality and regulation of long-term care facilities, and other areas related to long-term care management will be considered an asset.
The ability to enhance the diversity of the department, and serve as a role model and mentor for women and/or minorities will also be considered an asset.
