The University of Queensland (UQ) Business School is looking to attract two talented academics with a strong commitment to teaching and research excellence, who have the capability to provide disciplinary leadership in the emerging area of “Information Security, Governance, and Leadership”. The successful candidates will contribute meaningfully to the emerging interdisciplinary expertise in Cyber Security at UQ in both teaching and research, joining a multi-faculty initiative to address global information security challenges and to educate top cyber security leaders.
In teaching, candidates will show an ability to design and deliver topics on leadership, management, and governance, within the context of information security practice. They will contribute to the development and delivery of the new interdisciplinary Master of Cyber Security program, contributing to the major in Leadership.
In research, the position is flexible in terms of the specific area of research expertise, but should have some relevance to leadership and/or governance within the information security context. Depending on that expertise, successful candidates will join either the Management or Business Information Systems discipline areas at UQ Business School. Both have a long tradition of excellence at UQ, with collegial and interdisciplinary faculty that have a sustained record of publication in top tier journal outlets and strong relationships with industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for energetic and innovative academics to contribute to this exciting interdisciplinary initiative.
