Chatham University is seeking applications for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Business Management for our IACBE accredited Business and Entrepreneurship Department to begin Fall 2020. The primary responsibilities of this position include teaching some combination of the following courses: Foundations of Business, Business Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Human Resource Management, Leadership Development, Nonprofit Management, and Business Capstone. Additionally, the selected candidate will advise students, provide service to the department, University, and academic discipline, and enhance Chatham’s connections throughout the local and regional business community. Qualified candidates will possess a Ph.D. in Business Management with a focus on Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, or related area. Candidates with anticipated Ph.D. completion by August 2020 will be considered. Required qualifications include teaching excellence as indicated by strong teaching evaluations, evidence and potential for high impact research as demonstrated by a track record of published work in peer-reviewed journals as well as a pipeline of work in progress, and the ability to teach business-oriented courses in a collaborative/interdisciplinary environment. Experience with teaching diverse groups of students is desirable; candidates should describe their experience in this arena in their cover letter and teaching statement. The ability to engage in collaborative relationships with start-up and established businesses within the Pittsburgh region is also a key objective of the position.
