Applications are invited for a 5-year temporary post of College Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Organisational Behaviour/Leadership/ Leading Innovation in the Management Subject Area of UCD College of Business.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of research and teaching in Organisational Behaviour/ Leadership/ Leading Innovation commensurate to their career stage and will contribute to the following areas:
Research: The Management Subject Area places a strong emphasis on research leading to publication in highly esteemed, international, peer-reviewed academic journals and leading to debate in the academic and public space. The candidate should have established a track record in conducting research in Organizational Behaviour/ Leadership and/or Leading Innovation leading to publications in highly esteemed, international, peer-evaluated journals. Inter-disciplinary research is also welcome.
Teaching and Learning: The Management Subject Area makes a significant contribution to the College's undergraduate and postgraduate teaching including in particular our Undergraduate programmes – the BComm, the BComm (International), and our Bachelor of Business and Law, our wide range of specialist masters programmes, the MBA, Executive Education, and the PhD programmes. The successful candidate should have experience and/or interest in teaching in the undergraduate and/or post- graduate programmes of the school. The candidate should also be willing to supervise Master students or other levels of students according to need. Evidence of high-quality teaching in terms of student impact and curriculum development should be provided as part of the application.
Strategic Development & The School: In conjunction with the College Principal and Dean of the College of Business, Associate Deans & the Subject Area Head, appointees will contribute to the strategic development of the College - including the formulation, implementation and execution of policies to develop the College's academic and strategic potential.
Administration: S/he will also assume appropriate administrative and managerial duties, normally expected of colleagues at Lecturer/ Assistant Professor-level. Experienced candidates are expected to undertake academic administrative tasks such as programme coordination.
95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above Salary Scale: €53,773 - € 84,544 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
