DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Northeastern State University is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor of Management in the College of Business and Technology.
Candidate must have experience teaching Strategic Management with preferred industry experience in upper management positions. The right faculty will be able to teach any of the management courses needed at either the graduate or undergraduate levels and may also have the possibility of teaching elective courses in management-related areas.
The faculty member may be assigned to teach classes as needed on the Tahlequah campus, the Broken Arrow campus, through zoom or online. NSU provides daytime, evening and weekend classes for our student’s convenience.
In addition to teaching a range of business courses, the faculty member’s responsibilities include working collaboratively with colleagues, the department, and the college to build the Management program.
Outstanding teaching and mentoring of students are required. Service, interaction with local businesses, and research are expected.
All NSU course delivery integrates technology. NSU seeks candidates with experience or who are willing to teach in hybrid (blended), virtual class meeting and online formats when needed.
Candidates will contribute to and encourage collegiality, professional development, and scholarly activity while balancing the needs of a diverse faculty and student body.
Recruitment, retention and industry interactions are important parts of building the business programs at NSU. Faculty are expected to participate in these activities.
University teaching required. A research or professional background in Strategic Management is required. Active participation in state, regional, and national professional organizations is preferred.
