In anticipation of possible hiring, the Yale School of Management is soliciting applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Organizational Behavior at the rank of either Assistant or Associate Professor.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree (or will earn the degree within one semester from the start of the appointment) in organizational behavior or a field that is broadly related, including psychology, sociology, management, public health, education and the many related disciplines that inform how groups organize. Macro, Meso, and Micro scholars are encouraged to apply.
The selected candidate(s) will be expected to conduct high-quality research, representing early demonstration of intellectual leadership, in their area of study. The position also requires teaching graduate- and/or Ph.D.-level courses and advising and mentoring graduate students.
Included in the mission of SOM is the broad goal of educating leaders for business and society and faculty in the organizational behavior group embody this mission in their service and scholarship. We also hold diversity and inclusion as central to our group. Several faculty members study aspects of societal inequality, and the group actively pursues programs—such as our summer internship in organizational behavior—that expand access to graduate degrees beyond the typical pathways.
Our group is committed to excellence in scholarship, and we pursue this goal through the mentorship and development of junior faculty. This collective spirit is highlighted by our strong collaborative relationships within the group and with faculty members in related departments at Yale that include Law, Psychology, and Sociology.
