Visiting Professor of Management and Organizations
Southern Methodist University / Cox School of Business
The Department of Management and Organizations (MNO) in the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University is seeking to hire multiple non-tenure track Visiting Professors in the area of Organizational Behavior and/or Human Resources (broadly defined) for an August 2021 start date. Candidates must have a Ph.D. by the start of employment. Evidence of high quality teaching is also required. Candidates are expected to exhibit a strong ability to teach undergraduate and/or MBA courses. Teaching load expectations are 12 hours per academic year. Salary is very competitive with many tenure-track positions and includes a research/travel stipend. Visiting Professors are hired on a one-year contract, renewable for one additional year based upon performance and departmental needs. We seek individuals who are passionate about both scholarship and high-quality teaching, with a desire to participate in a collegial, research-oriented department. The MNO department consists of Marcus Butts (Chair), Kate Frear, Maribeth Kuenzi, Christina Li, Al Niemi, Robin Pinkley, McKenzie Rees, Don Vandewalle, and Zhen Zhang. In the past two years, faculty members have had publications in top-tier journals including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personnel Psychology, and Psychological Science.
