Northeastern State University is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor of Management with an emphasis in Healthcare Information in the College of Business and Technology.
Candidate must have experience teaching management, healthcare information, analytics or administration. The right faculty will be able to teach any of the management or healthcare administration courses needed at either the graduate or undergraduate levels and may also have the possibility of teaching elective courses in management, healthcare, information systems or analytics-related areas.
While based on the Broken Arrow campus, the faculty member may be assigned to teach classes as needed on the Tahlequah campus, through zoom or online. NSU provides daytime, evening and weekend classes for our student’s convenience. In addition to teaching a range of business courses, the faculty member’s responsibilities include working collaboratively with colleagues, the department, and the college to build the Healthcare Management program.
Outstanding teaching and mentoring of students are required. Service, interaction with local businesses, and research are expected. All NSU course delivery integrates technology. NSU seeks candidates with experience or who are willing to teach in hybrid (blended), virtual class meetings and online formats when needed.
Candidates will contribute to and encourage collegiality, professional development, and scholarly activity while balancing the needs of a diverse faculty and student body.
Recruitment, retention and industry interactions are important parts of building the business programs at NSU. Faculty are expected to participate in these activities.
University teaching required. A research or professional background in health information technology, analytics or administration is required. Active participation in state, regional, and national professional organizations is preferred.
