The Management Division at Babson College is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Organizational Behavior position starting in the 2022-23 academic year.
We are looking for an experienced, engaged educator and scholar who most embodies the characteristics below:
Is passionate about teaching organizational behavior (and related topics such as leadership, managing talent, or diversity, equity & inclusion) to undergraduates, MBA students, and Executives, and has a proven track record in both teaching excellence and innovative curriculum development.
Has a vibrant research stream that is interesting to both academics and practitioners, and a proven ability to publish peer-reviewed academic journal articles (articles for practitioner audience, peer-reviewed books, teaching cases, and other teaching materials are also valued).
Is a team-player who is willing to lead and collaborate with faculty from multiple disciplines to design and teach integrated business curricula.
Is comfortable with technology and teaching in a blended/online environment, though most teaching occurs in-person and on-campus.
Has some amount of non-academic business and management experience and can quickly establish credibility in the classroom, especially with MBA students and Executives.
Has a Ph.D. or related terminal degree, and ideally at least 2-3 years of teaching and research experience after graduation.

About the Management Division
The Management Division is a community of collaborative, supportive colleagues who is actively engaged in their academic disciplines and with the practitioner community and are innovative educators. Our division includes eighteen full-time tenure-track faculty members and ten full-time lecturers in two general areas: Organizational Behavior and Strategy. In recent years, faculty members have published in top-tier management journals for academics (e.g., Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal), practitioners (e.g., Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review), and educators (e.g., Academy of Management Learning & Education, Journal of Management Education). In addition, our faculty are actively engaged in their academic communities serving as journal editors (e.g. Academy of Management Learning & Education), editorial review board members (e.g. Strategic Management Journal, Leadership Quarterly), and assuming leadership positions in the Academy (e.g. AOM Careers division, SMS strategic human capital division, POS micro-communities).
As an OB community of scholars, we have a shared interest in the generative potential of work and careers. Individually, we explore this interest in areas including leadership development, relationships at work, careers, gender and diversity at work, and conflict resolution.
