The Future of Work Virtual Reality Lab (FoW VR Lab) of the Center for Leadership in the Future of Work (CLFW), led by Prof. Dr. Jochen Menges at the University of Zurich is inviting applications for a
Post-doctoral Researcher with Expertise in Virtual Reality
The FoW VR Lab is dedicated to exploring whether and how Virtual Reality (VR) technologies can be used to improve the world of work for people. It does so by (i) promoting research on the use of VR for work, (ii) enabling new approaches to conducting research with VR across disciplines (iii) testing the potential of VR as a learning tool across disciplines, and (iv) offering new, more immersive opportunities for people to meet, engage, and learn with each other through VR. In doing so, it seeks to be at the forefront of research on the future of work and brings together scholars who are interested in the Future of Work from both UZH and from around the world. The Lab invites broad academic participation and collaboration with practitioners across different sectors and industries and contributes to a growing ecosystem focused on preparing people and organization’s for the future of work.
Your qualifications include…
a completed or nearly completed PhD degree or its equivalent in Business or Psychology or Informatics or neighboring fields, ideally with a special emphasis on organizational behavior or organizational/ industrial psychology
expertise in virtual reality, as evidenced by relevant projects
a proven publication track record, or publication potential as evident in working papers or submitted papers that are invited for revision
excellent oral and written English, as evidenced in a PhD dissertation written in English
a good understanding of quantitative methods, including a good command of relevant software packages, such as R, Mplus, Stata, and/or SPSS
good presentation skills, as evident in conference presentations; teaching experience (ideally with formal student evaluations) is a plus
a readiness to engage with leaders and organizations
the ability to work in and guide a team, curiosity and discipline, self-reliance and initiative-taking, as well as integrity and creativity
