The Ivey Business School at Western University seeks candidates for up to two positions in the area of Management Communications. Applicants will be considered for Limited Term appointments at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor. Rank to be determined by qualifications and experience. The positions are available to begin in July 2022, although alternate start dates may be arranged. These appointments will be for up to three years.
The Management Communications group is committed to world class scholarship and teaching. The teaching areas of the group include business writing, business presentations, interpersonal communications, crisis communications and reputation management. Links to practice through past work experience and/or consulting are an advantage. Responsibilities will include teaching courses on topics such as management communications at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
Applicants are expected to have an MA or PhD (or be nearing completion of a PhD) in Business, Communications, or a related field (Language, Literature, Journalism, Sociology or Psychology). The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching in core undergraduate, MSc and/or MBA courses using a case discussion format. Experience teaching executives or writing business case studies also is valued.
