The Management Department at the BYU Marriott School of Business seeks to fill a continuing faculty status (similar to tenure) track position with significant responsibility in our Health Care Leadership program starting in Fall 2025/ Winter 2026, pending approval by the Board of Trustees.
We welcome candidates with research and teaching interests that include health care and strategy, organizational behavior/ human resources, or entrepreneurship. Strong preference will be given to candidates who have a record of publishing in highly respected journals in several of these four areas of research. We also have a strong preference for a candidate who has built, worked in, and/ or led health care related programs within a university setting.
We seek candidates at the assistant, associate, or full professor level, although we prefer candidates at the associate or full professor level. The successful candidate will (1) be responsible for teaching a two-two (or equivalent) course load to undergraduate and/or graduate students in a variety of majors across campus; (2) be expected to conduct research that leads to publications in top-tier journals; and (3) actively mentor students in both teaching and research roles; and (4) participate in college and university service activities commensurate with experience and rank.
The Marriott School
The Marriott School of Business is consistently ranked as a top 25 business school. The school enrolls approximately 3,300 students: 2100 undergraduate and 1200 graduate students. About 62% of the students are bilingual and many have lived abroad. The school enrolls approximately 10% international students.
The Management Department consists of approximately 30 full time faculty in four groups: Strategy, Human Resource Management, Health Care Leadership, and Entrepreneurship. This position is a department level position with primary teaching responsibility in the Health Care Leadership Group. Faculty regularly publish in top journals including Nature (biotechnology), JAMA, AMJ, AMR, SMJ, Org Science, JAP, P-Psych, HBR, Sloan Management Review, California Management Review, and other discipline-specific journals.

The Location
Provo is one of Utah's largest cities with a metro population of more than 200,000. Provo is consistently rated as one of the most livable, low crime, family friendly cities in the country (http://www.provo.org/about-us/provo-rankings). Provo enjoys distinct fall, winter, spring, and summer seasons. The area provides world class skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, river rafting, boating, and golfing opportunities among beautiful alpine or red rock scenery. All of these activities are within an hours' drive of Provo, most within 15 minutes. Salt Lake City, host of the 2002 Winter Olympics and slated to host the 2034 Winter Olympics, is only 40 minutes away to the north. Arches, Bryce Canyon, and Zions National Parks are within a four-hour drive to the south. Yellowstone National Park is about six hours to the north.
